What a skipped tune-up costs

None of this announces itself. Every one of them is cheap to fix in October and expensive in January.

  • !Ignition components already failing in October, which quit on the coldest night in January, at eleven at night, with the house full
  • !A blower motor pulling high amps all winter, adding to the power bill and shortening its own life while it does it
  • !A flue connection, a gas line or a heat exchanger sitting up in the attic that nobody has laid eyes on since the day it was installed
  • !A burnt wire at the contactor that nobody smelled, feeding a connection that runs hotter every month it is left alone
  • !A capacitor drifting out of spec, so the motor fights to start on every cycle until the day it stops starting at all

"A fifty dollar part that fails unnoticed is what turns into a compressor replacement."

What you get for staying ahead of it.

Your furnace lights on the coldest night

A tired ignitor or a dirty flame sensor is a small part on a scheduled October visit. Left alone, it is the reason the house is cold at eleven at night in January, waiting on a service visit.

Somebody actually goes up in the attic

We inspect the heating system where it lives, including the gas supply and the exhaust venting that carries combustion byproducts out of your house. Those are the parts nobody looks at, and they are the ones that matter most.

Something worth sharing

Your EPIC Comfort Pass carries your name. Hand it to a parent, a neighbor or a friend whose furnace is struggling, and they get a complimentary Elite visit without being a member.

The numbers

What it costs

One system means one heater plus one air conditioner. Two split systems in the house means two agreements. A package unit, the kind that holds heat and cooling in one box, counts as one system. The reliable way to tell: count the air conditioner units sitting on the ground outside your house.

Offer ends October 31, 2026. The EPIC Agreement is a one year prepaid maintenance plan, not an insurance policy or a warranty.

"Maintenance is not about babying a system that is falling apart. It is about catching the small warning signs early, before they cascade into the failures that actually hurt."

Common questions

Is $189.50 per system or for the whole house?
Per system. One system means one heater plus one air conditioner. If the house has two split systems, that is two agreements. A package unit that holds heat and cooling in one box counts as one. Count the air conditioner units on the ground outside and you have your answer.
What happens during the visit?
A technician goes through the system properly. The ignition and safety components, the gas supply and the exhaust venting, the blower and what it is drawing, and the electrical connections that quietly run hot. It is an inspection, not a filter change. If something is drifting out of spec, you hear about it while it is still cheap to deal with.
What do I actually get for the year?
Three visits. The first is the Fall Double Tune-Up, where we service your heating and your air conditioning in the same appointment, which is what gets you caught up. Next spring we come back for the air conditioning. Next fall we come back for the furnace. Alongside that, the EPIC Diagnostic is no charge for the length of the agreement, you get 20% off any repair, and you get priority scheduling.
Do you still charge a diagnostic fee?
No. We call it the EPIC Diagnostic, and it is no charge for the length of your agreement. If something goes wrong in February, you are not paying anyone to come find out what it is.
My system was installed well. Do I really need this?
A well built system does not need maintenance to keep from falling apart. That is a common misunderstanding. What it does is catch the small, inexpensive failures before they become the expensive ones. A capacitor is a modest repair. A capacitor that fails unnoticed puts strain on the compressor every time the system tries to start, and that is what turns a fifty dollar part into a compressor replacement.
What is the EPIC Comfort Pass?
A personalized card that comes with your agreement and carries your name. Give it to a friend, a family member or a neighbor at another address who needs a diagnostic, a service call or maintenance. No membership is required to redeem it. When it gets used, we credit it back to you and mail you a replacement.
I rent my home. Can I still do this?
The agreement belongs to whoever owns the equipment. If you rent, we are glad to talk with your owner or property manager, and we can often do that for you.
What areas do you cover?
Elk Grove, Sacramento, Folsom, Roseville, Rocklin and Lincoln, plus the surrounding communities. If you are not sure, put your zip on the form and we will tell you straight.
Does it renew automatically?
